Introduction and feeding method of alpaca

How to choose seed

Alpacas are singleton animals and have long gestation periods (342 days to 345 days). The abortion rate is higher in the first month, so the breeding rate of alpaca is low. Female alpaca is generally mated at 12 months of age, and American alpaca is generally 18 months old. A healthy alpacas with breeding ability can give birth to a llama each year for 15 years to 16 years. Suffering from any kind of stress will cause abortion of ewes, which is a big problem. Multiple births are rare. Mating is usually performed under manually controlled conditions to ensure that accurate records can be made.

First, the male and female alpaca are placed in a separate fence. If the llama is lying down, it is ready to mate. Normally, the mating is completed in 20 minutes to 40 minutes. Alpacas are able to conceive at any time under conditions that induce eggs. Most of the mating arrangements are generally made during the spring and summer season to avoid winter delivery.

Daily dishes

An acre of grass can store up to 10 alpacas. They do not uproot grasses or other plants and are therefore considered more suitable for pasture farming than most livestock. As long as there is a specific ranch and hay is available in winter, alpacas can be farmed. The orchard is a good choice. In fact, most breeders will feed some of the feed. Pregnancy or the mother camel with a llama should naturally enjoy this treatment. Every 30 days, some insecticide pills or insecticides are fed, and most breeders also supplement some of the minerals, because these drugs can effectively ensure that the content of the worm in each alpaca is moderate.

Disease prevention and control

Alpacas generally only have one cut per year. Do not contaminate alpaca when cutting. Before you cut the hair, keep the alpaca at least 4 hours without eating or drinking in a circle without any dirt. Prevent three types of pollution: First, natural pollution, second, external pollution, and third, pollution that is contaminated during daily care.

Natural pollution mainly refers to colored hair on white alpacas, because these hairs cannot be dyed into light-colored textiles. Blight yellow hair is formed by long-term accumulation of lanolin and sweat gland secretions. Feces and urine pollution also belong to the natural formation. Careful care and feeding habits can avoid these problems as much as possible.

External pollution is mainly caused by the living environment of the alpacas, including pasture and other factors: barbed grass, grass species, spiny fruit, grass stalks, twigs, bark and so on.
