How to identify fish fullness?

First, observe how long the fish spend feeding at the feeding area. If the fish consume their normal portion of feed within less than two hours, it suggests that the feed is insufficient, and some fish may not have eaten enough. In this case, you should increase the amount of feed appropriately. If the feed quantity remains the same every ten days, but by the end of the period, the fish finish the food in under two hours, it indicates that the fish have grown and need more feed. When using pellet feed, if the fish continue to hover on the water surface without sinking to the lower layers, they are likely still hungry. For example, if fish scatter from the feeding area and there are leftovers, it means they are full, and you can reduce the feed amount accordingly. Second, check the water surface for calmness and fish activity. If the surface is very still, but the fish are moving around a lot, it could be a sign of parasites or hunger. In breeding ponds, if small fry start swimming rapidly around the pool, this is a clear sign of poor feed palatability and severe hunger, commonly referred to as "race horse disease." Third, regularly monitor fish growth, ideally once a month. If the fish are stocked at an appropriate density with a balanced mix, and no diseases are present, but their growth is significantly below expected standards, and there's a large size difference among individuals, it suggests that some fish are not getting enough food and may be starving or half-starved. Fourth, in ponds where fish are raised primarily, if the water transparency exceeds 40 cm, or the water quality changes from thick to thin, or if carp have large heads, small tails, narrow backs, weak swimming ability, or even float dead on the surface, it indicates a low presence of plankton, leading to slow fish growth. Fifth, to determine if squid are hungry or full, check the water clarity. If the entire pond appears very turbid (yellowish in color), it shows that the squid are frequently feeding at the bottom, which indicates they are in a state of starvation.
