Grape autumn clever management

After the harvest, it's important for the vineyard to remove fruit bags, any damaged or rotten fruits, and to thoroughly clean the area. For young vineyards where current fruit-bearing branches have already developed, pruning techniques should be used to accelerate branch ripening. New shoots should be topped twice, leaving two leaves each time, and then finally one leaf after the tip is removed. This autumn, there was heavy rainfall, which created favorable conditions for diseases like downy mildew, including varieties such as "Giant Rose" and "Rattan." To manage these issues, it's recommended to apply fungicides like Jinlei, Kelu, Yinfali, and Metalaxyl. Additionally, the Autumn Spodoptera (a type of moth) has been active in multiple generations, causing serious damage in some vineyards. The larvae are typically 1-2 years old and do not move much before they mature. To control them, spraying with insecticides like Trichogramma and Avermectin is effective, with applications every 7 days. From mid-September to late October, it's an ideal time to apply fertilizers. For arbor-grown vines, each plant should receive 20–25 kg of organic fertilizer, 0.5 kg of calcium magnesium phosphate, and 0.25–0.5 kg of compound fertilizer. For bush-trained vines, the amount increases to 25–50 kg of organic fertilizer per plant, along with 1 kg of calcium magnesium phosphate and 0.25–0.5 kg of compound fertilizer. The fertilizers should be applied in trenches that are 30–50 cm deep, 40–50 cm wide, and 80–100 cm long. The layers of fertilizer should be mixed with soil. After applying the base fertilizer, the soil around the plants should be tilled, and the area near the base should be cultivated. Deep plowing to a depth of 1 meter is also recommended to improve soil aeration and encourage the growth of new roots. This helps maintain healthy vine development and ensures better yields in the following season.
