How to Feed High-Produce Cows

The main characteristic of high-yielding dairy cows is high milk production, and the daily milk production is generally more than 30 kg, and the milk production during the lactation period is more than 6,000 kg. Since high-yielding dairy cows need to discharge large amounts of milk, they need a lot of nutrients.

High-yielding cows need to feed 80 to 100 kilograms of feed (about 20 to 25 kilograms of dry matter) each day to meet their physiological needs. Due to the digestion and absorption of nutrients in these feeds, not only the digestive organs are strained, but also the metabolism of the entire organism is enhanced. Therefore, the cows must be physically strong to adapt to these physiological functions.

The diet of high-yielding dairy cows requires complete nutrient distribution, rich feed types, good quality, and easier digestion and absorption. High-quality hay, silage, roots, and green and juicy feeds are generally used as the basis for the composition of diets, and appropriate concentrates are added at the same time. Because the green and succulent feed not only has good palatability, but also can promote the full secretion of digestive juices, thereby improving the utilization efficiency of other feeds. Practice has proved that high-yield and stable production can't be achieved solely by feeding and concentrating materials. Only by adding appropriate concentrates on the basis of increasing coarse materials can the full-scale effect be achieved. If the amount of fine concentrate is too large, high yields will be achieved at one time, but the long-term production time will not last long, and it will be detrimental to the health of dairy cows.

The diet of high-yielding dairy cows should not only ensure the quantity, but also ensure the quality. The feed should include lysine, tryptophan, arginine and other amino acids necessary for the formation of milk. In other words, the higher the full price of protein in the diets of high-yielding dairy cows, the better the effect of increasing milk production. The more appropriate the proportion of coarse, juicy, and concentrated feeds in the diet, the better the quality, and the more appropriate the proportion of mineral supplements, the higher the yield and yield.

High-yield dairy cows have a large number of feeds to be eaten every day, so they should increase the number of feedings, and generally should be fed more than 4 times a day. Drink water should have automatic drinker, if there is no automatic drinker, the number of drinking water should be more than 5 times a day.

In day-to-day management work, it must be done daily and in the afternoon. Daily cows are given suitable outdoor exercise. For climate change, high-yield dairy cows are also more sensitive, so summer should be done to prevent heatstroke and cold work should be done well in winter. Special attention should be paid to prevent cold winds from directly hitting the breasts.
