Dust removal and new measures
In recent years, farmers have become increasingly aware of the importance of keeping greenhouse films clean. To remove dust, some use a mop to wipe the surface, while others opt for small cloth strips. Wiping with a mop can be effective, but it's time-consuming and labor-intensive. On the other hand, using small cloth strips involves swaying them back and forth across the film, which is less tiring but still leaves some areas untouched—especially the top and bottom parts of the greenhouse where the cloth can't reach. Fortunately, there's now a more efficient method that requires no manual effort, covers a larger area, and delivers excellent results.
To try this new technique, you'll need a rope that's slightly longer than the width of the greenhouse. Attach several cloth strips to the rope, making sure they are evenly spaced and cover the entire length of the rope, forming a continuous cloth string. One person stands on top of the greenhouse holding one end of the rope, while another person stands behind the structure, holding the other end. The two people then pull the rope tight and move it back and forth, allowing the cloth strips to sweep across the film. This motion effectively removes dust from the entire surface in a quick and efficient manner. Once the job is done, the cloth strips can be removed, washed, and reused, making the process both convenient and cost-effective for future use.
This method not only saves time and effort but also ensures a more thorough cleaning, helping maintain optimal light transmission for plant growth. It’s a simple yet smart solution that many farmers are beginning to adopt.
