Feed the weaned pigs

Weaning is a critical period for piglets, and the feeding strategy during this time significantly impacts their growth and health. Overfeeding can lead to digestive issues such as indigestion and diarrhea, while underfeeding may cause stress from hunger, which can hinder development. Therefore, it's important to manage feed intake carefully during the first 4–5 days after weaning. Initially, feed the piglets small amounts, 6–8 times a day, both day and night. Gradually reduce the number of feedings and control daily feed portions to about 70% of the original amount. After 4–5 days, slowly increase the feed quantity again. Monitoring the piglets’ feed intake is crucial. Check the feeders regularly: if there’s only a little leftover feed with no fine particles or pellets, it means the last feeding was just right. If the feeder is clean and moist, it suggests that the previous portion was too low, so you should increase the next feeding. On the other hand, if there are leftovers, it indicates overfeeding, and the excess should be removed to prevent waste and potential health issues. Observing the piglets' feces is another key indicator of their well-being. In the first three days after weaning, their stools should gradually become more solid, changing from yellow to brown. This is considered normal. If the feces appear soft, pale gray, or contain undigested feed, it could signal digestive problems. In such cases, feeding should be reduced or temporarily stopped. The next meal should be halved, and feeding should resume based on the piglets’ condition. If most of the feces become soft and dark, you can gradually increase the feed to 80% of the normal level. If the feces are mushy, green, or contain mucus, it’s best to skip two meals and then offer a small amount of feed in the trough. After three days, feed can slowly return to normal. During the weaning period, it’s essential to maintain a consistent feeding pattern similar to the lactation stage. Always provide clean, fresh water and ensure the environment remains dry and hygienic. The restriction period usually lasts 7–10 days, after which feedings can be reduced to four times a day. Vaccinations should be properly administered, and regular disinfection is necessary to prevent disease outbreaks. A clean, comfortable living space helps the piglets adjust better and grow healthier.

Rating Ruler

Rating ruler, also known as a grating ruler displacement sensor (grating ruler sensor), is a measurement feedback device using the optical principle of grating.Grating ruler is often used in the closed-loop servo system of CNC machine tools, which can be used to detect linear displacement or angular displacement. The output signal is digital pulse, which has the characteristics of wide detection range, high detection accuracy, and fast response speed. For example, in the CNC machine tool is often used to detect the coordinates of the tool and the workpiece, to observe and track the tool error, and to play a role in compensating the tool motion error.
