The flowering period refers to the stage of corn from pumping to maturity. 1. Apply “Granule Fertilizer” as appropriate. High-yield practice has proved that the large leaf area, high photosynthetic efficiency, and long leaf functional period in the late growth stage of corn are the basic guarantee for achieving high yield. One of the important guarantees for the maturation of live green stalks of corn is that there is sufficient inorganic nutrition during the flowering period. Therefore, attacking grain fertilizers should be pursued as appropriate. The so-called discretionary application is to depend on the appearance of Daejeon plants. Timely emasculation can reduce nutrient consumption, promote nutrient delivery to the female ear, increase light intensity, increase light energy utilization, reduce plant height, and enhance lodging resistance. 3. 4. Timely watering and draining of popcorn The grain period is the critical period of water demand. During this period, the corn water consumption accounts for about 50% of the total water consumption, and the suitable soil moisture content is 70%~80% of the maximum water holding capacity in the field. The key water should be filled two times in the corn grain phase: the first time from flowering to grain formation, it is the key water to promote grain number; the second time in the milk period, it is the key water to increase grain weight. Sprinkler irrigation should be done differently, and be flexible. Sandy loam soil and light loam soil should increase irrigation times; clay and loam soil can be timely and appropriate irrigation; population size should increase irrigation times and irrigation volume. In addition, if there is too much rain in the corn grain period, attention should be paid to timely drainage.

5. The removal of a certain number of plants in the empty stalks of the maize field results in the formation of empty stalks or low-yield plants that do not produce spikes. They not only consume nutrients and water in vain, but also affect the photosynthesis of other plants, and therefore, pollination. After the end, the empty stalks and low-sludge plants should be removed early, and the limited nutrients and water should be supplied to the normal plants in order to make the panicles large and full.

6. Shallow cultivating and weeding In the late stage of corn filling, the plant ran straight and shallow once to remove the soil compaction, breathe loose soil, ensure weeding, promote soil nutrient conversion and root absorption, prevent premature aging, and increase grain weight. 7. Prevention and control of diseases and insect pests The main diseases and pests of summer corn in the grain stage are corn borer, armyworm, cotton bollworm, aphid, size spot disease, and rust. 8. Timely harvest of mature external long-term characteristics of corn is that the temporal lobe is loose in color, the seeds become hard, and the cortex is bright. A black layer appears at the intersection of the grain and the cob, indicating that corn has entered the ripening stage and the corn can be harvested. If the green leaves are very good and the growing season allows, it can be postponed for another 5-7 days to increase the yield.
