About the biological characteristics of salmon

(2) Living habits. Carp likes to inhabit calm water or micro-flowing water, and especially likes to live in lush lakes and rivers. The optimum temperature for life is 7 to 32°C, and the optimum temperature is 18 to 25°C. When the water temperature is lower than 7°C, the activity is sluggish and it infiltrates into the deepwater layer to overwinter. When water temperature rises above 7°C in the spring, it starts to feed in the water grass. During the day, it is usually lying on the bottom of the water and is less active. Night activities are frequent, and food is found outside. In the optimum temperature range, the growth rate increases as the water temperature rises; however, the water temperature is higher than 32°C and the appetite diminishes and grows slowly.
(3) diet and growth. Carp is benthic fierce fish, extremely gluttonous, mainly prey on small fish, shrimp. Freshly hatched larvae can prey on other young fish.
