Fermenting pig manure into fertilizer is an effective and eco-friendly way to recycle agricultural waste. Although pig manure itself has low nutritional value for pigs, it becomes a highly beneficial feed and fertilizer when properly fermented. It's especially popular as fish feed, as many fish species enjoy eating it directly. For aquaculture, applying about two tons of fermented pig manure per acre is recommended. Mix everything thoroughly, add water to achieve a moisture content of around 65%, then place the mixture in a plastic bag or sealed container. Seal it tightly and let it ferment for about three days. In colder weather, it may take a few extra days, while in summer, it can complete in just two days. When the odor disappears and a slight sour smell develops, the fermentation is complete and ready for use.
Not only does fermented pig manure serve as a high-quality, environmentally friendly fertilizer, but it can also be further processed into a compound fertilizer. By using the Golden Baby II fertilizer starter, the process is similar. After fermentation, you'll get approximately one ton of composted material. To enhance its nutrient content, spread it out in the open for a day, then mix in 40 kg of urea, 58 kg of phosphate fertilizer, and 46 kg of potash per ton of manure (adjusting the amounts based on crop needs). Ensure the mixture is well blended and dried until the moisture content reaches around 40%. Finally, package it finely and store it for use. This method not only improves soil fertility but also reduces dependency on synthetic fertilizers, making it a sustainable farming solution.
