Pig manure fish production and fertilizer technology
Fermented pig manure is not typically used as feed for pigs due to its low nutritional value, but it makes an excellent Organic Fertilizer and fish feed. Many aquatic species, especially fish, enjoy consuming this fermented material. When applied to farmland, about two tons of fermented pig manure per acre can significantly improve soil quality. This organic fertilizer is safe, eco-friendly, and often outperforms chemical fertilizers in promoting plant growth.
The fermentation process begins with 70% fresh pig manure (or alternatively, pigeon droppings or duck manure can be used if available). Mix in 15% corn flour, 10% grain bran, 5% wheat bran, and about 1,000 grams of Golden Baby Grade 2 Fermentation Starter per ton of the mixture. Thoroughly mix all ingredients, then add water until the moisture content reaches around 65%. Place the mixture in a sealed plastic bag or container and let it ferment for three days. In colder weather, the fermentation time may be extended slightly, while in summer, it may take just a couple of days. The process is complete when the odor disappears and a mild sour smell develops.
Once fully fermented, the pig manure becomes a high-quality, environmentally friendly fertilizer. It can also be further processed into compound organic fertilizer. By using the Golden Baby II Fertilizer Starter, the process remains similar. After fermentation, approximately one ton of nutrient-rich material is produced. To enhance its effectiveness, allow it to air dry and then add 40 kg of urea, 58 kg of phosphate fertilizer, and 46 kg of potash per ton of pig manure—adjusting the quantities based on the specific crop being grown. Mix everything thoroughly, ensure the moisture level is reduced to about 40%, and finally package it for use. This method ensures a balanced, long-lasting fertilizer that supports sustainable agriculture.
1. Monocalcium Phosphate (MCP) Product Description:
