For example, sea miscellaneous fish makes up 50%, which equals 160 grams; cooked pork accounts for 10%, totaling 32 grams; liver is 3%, equating to approximately 9.6 grams; milk is 5%, or 16 grams; corn flour is 10%, or 32 grams; Chinese cabbage is 12%, or 38.4 grams; and water is 10%, or 32 grams. All these add up to the total of 320 grams.
The third step is to verify the digestible protein content in the diet. By referring to the nutritional composition table (see Appendix II), multiply the weight of each feed by its respective protein percentage and sum them all up. Sea miscellaneous fish contributes about 22.1 grams of protein (13.8% of 160g), cooked pork provides around 6.6 grams (20.6% of 32g), liver adds about 1.4 grams (14.8% of 9.6g), milk contributes 0.5 grams (2.9% of 16g), corn flour gives 2.9 grams (9.0% of 32g), and Chinese cabbage adds 0.5 grams (1.4% of 38.4g). In total, the diet provides approximately 34 grams of protein, which is sufficient to meet the needs of a pregnant mother.
Finally, calculate the total amount of feed required for a group of 100 leeches per day. Then divide the feed into early and late portions according to a 4:6 ratio. This ensures that the feeding schedule is balanced and meets the animals’ nutritional requirements throughout the day.
