Hey there, lovely people! Happy Monday to all of you! Mondays can definitely feel like they need a little extra boost, so I thought sharing some of the hilarious things my middle child says would be the perfect way to kick off the week. I swear, sometimes I'm laughing so hard I think, "Oh man, I need to jot this down," but by the time I grab a pen, it’s already gone. I’m trying to get better at it though—slowly but surely!
So here's a little peek into his world. The other day during one of those "instructional" talks Chris was giving, he asked, "What's the number one rule?" And you know what Brayden said? "Don't poop in your pants!" Honestly, we might need to refine our expectations a bit.
Speaking of things he says, when he plugs in the iPad or any device, he'll announce, "Okay, I charged it in." It’s just so random, yet oddly satisfying.
And how about this one? He once told me, "I just sent a selfie picture to your phone, mom!" Like, what? Where did that even come from?
Or consider this gem: "Okay, I’m ready to go to sweet and cozy home." Isn’t that adorable? It sounds like something out of a storybook.
There was also the time when Skylar was being particularly loud, and Brayden said, "Owe, you squeezed my brain!" When I gave him a look, he quickly added, "No, seriously, it hurt my ears!"
If you’ve ever wondered if someone could inherit a love for travel, the answer is yes. Before our last mountain trip, he asked, "When can we go on an adventure?!" I thought he meant a day trip, but nope, he was talking about a full-on road trip adventure.
Talking about adventures, he recently recounted our Blue Mountain tour. "We went on the trail on an adventure and it was super, duper, duper, wuper long. And then we went on a bear crossing, and we climbed rocks and then I slid under the gate." When I asked him what his favorite part was, he replied, "One, was Redbox. Then it was the adventure I just told you about."
And let’s not forget his proclamation: "I’m the king of the everything!"
