(4) Replacement and partial replacement method: When a part is too damaged for repair or when repair costs are too high, it’s more practical to replace it with a new one. If only a portion of the part is damaged, the affected area can be removed and replaced with a newly manufactured piece. This new part can then be welded or otherwise attached to the original base, restoring the entire component’s functionality.

(5) Restoration by size method: Damaged parts can be restored to their original specifications using various techniques such as welding (electric, gas, or brazing), electroplating, spraying, rubber replenishment, forging, pressing, machining, heat treatment, and more. It's important to consider the economic feasibility of this method, as repair costs are typically between 5% and 50% of the cost of a new part.

Important considerations: The repair process should not compromise the shape accuracy of the parts, nor should it reduce the hardness or wear resistance of the surface. Additionally, the metal matrix should remain unchanged, and no harmful residual stresses should be introduced, as these could affect future processing or performance of the repaired component.
