Pepper Fertilization Tips

The cultivation of 1,000 kilograms of peppers requires a precise balance of essential nutrients. Specifically, it needs 5.2 kilograms of pure nitrogen, 1.2 kilograms of phosphorus pentoxide, and 6.5 kilograms of potassium chloride. Before planting, the Mushi quality farmyard manure is applied at 5,000 kilograms, along with 50 kilograms of phosphate fertilizer as the base fertilizer to enrich the soil. During the early growth stage, when the hot peppers start to grow, the first topdressing is applied to support fruit development. At this stage, 15–18 kilograms of pure nitrogen, 18–20 kilograms of phosphorus fertilizer, and 15–17 kilograms of potassium fertilizer are used. As the plant progresses through the second, third, and fourth fruiting stages, the nutrient requirements gradually increase. Therefore, each topdressing should be adjusted accordingly to meet the growing demand for nutrients. It's important to mix the topdressing with the soil and water it thoroughly after application. Additionally, foliar sprays can be used to enhance nutrient absorption. A solution containing 0.3% of products like Fengguo, Pepper Ling, or Shuonfeng 481 can be sprayed on the leaves to provide an extra boost of nutrition and improve overall plant health. This combination of soil and foliar feeding ensures that the pepper plants receive adequate nourishment throughout their entire growth cycle.
