Pepper Fertilization Tips
The cultivation of 1,000 kilograms of peppers requires approximately 5.2 kilograms of pure nitrogen, 1.2 kilograms of phosphorus pentoxide, and 6.5 kilograms of potassium chloride. Before planting, Mushi Quality Farmyard Fertilizer is applied at 5,000 kg per hectare, along with 50 kg of phosphate fertilizer as a base dressing to ensure a strong start for the crop.
During the first fruiting stage, topdressing begins to support fruit development. At this point, about 15–18 kg of pure nitrogen, 18–20 kg of phosphorus fertilizer, and 15–17 kg of potassium fertilizer are applied. As the plant continues to produce more fruit layers—such as the second, third, and fourth fruit sets—the nutrient requirements gradually increase. Each subsequent topdressing should be adjusted accordingly to meet the growing demands of the plants.
It’s important to mix the topdressing with soil and water to ensure even distribution and better absorption. Additionally, foliar sprays can be used alongside the topdressing to enhance nutrient uptake. A mixture of 0.3% Fengguo, Pepper Ling, or Shuonfeng 481 can be sprayed directly onto the leaves for an extra boost. This combination helps improve plant health, increase yield, and promote stronger fruit development. Always follow recommended application rates and timing to avoid over-fertilization and ensure optimal growth.
