To spray fine fertilizer on vegetables, we must take good "six off"

When applying foliar fertilizers, it's essential to maintain the right concentration. Too high a concentration can be ineffective or even harmful. The recommended spraying concentrations for various trace elements are as follows: boric acid or borax solution at 0.05%-0.2%, ammonium molybdate at 0.02%-0.05%, zinc sulfate at 0.05%-0.2%, copper sulfate at 0.01%-0.02%, and iron sulfate at 0.2%-1%. These concentrations ensure that plants absorb the nutrients effectively without causing damage. The timing of foliar feeding should be adjusted based on the type of vegetable and the specific micro-fertilizer being used. Generally, it is best to apply these nutrients just before flowering, when the plant is most active in nutrient uptake. A typical application rate is 40-75 liters of fertilizer solution per hectare, enough to thoroughly wet the stems and leaves of the vegetables. However, because the amount applied in each session is relatively small, it may not be sufficient to meet the entire growth cycle's needs. Therefore, it's advisable to spray 2-4 times throughout the growing season, depending on the crop’s development stage. To maximize efficiency and minimize loss, it's best to spray during cloudy days or in the late afternoon or evening. This allows the fertilizer solution to stay on the leaves longer, increasing absorption and effectiveness. Avoid spraying during hot, sunny periods, as this can cause rapid evaporation and reduce the effectiveness of the treatment. Mixing different fertilizers or combining them with pesticides can save time and enhance results by providing multiple benefits in one application. However, care must be taken when mixing. Some fertilizers may react negatively with each other or with certain chemicals. For example, trace element fertilizers should not be mixed with alkaline substances like wood ash or lime. Zinc-based fertilizers should not be combined with superphosphate, and copper-based fertilizers should not be mixed with potassium dihydrogen phosphate solutions. Always check compatibility before mixing to avoid adverse reactions.
